Shift Engineer

Overview

The Shift Engineer manages facility engineering operations, preventive maintenance, safety practices, utility systems and vendor coordination at an on-site location.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for electro-mechanical equipment.
• Set up standard operating procedures for critical-environment management.
• Inspect facilities, utility systems, maintenance practices and risk-management procedures.
• Coordinate vendors and resolve service issues.
• Maintain log books, preventive-maintenance reports, checklists and compliance records.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports, including MMR, PO/PR and SLA tracking.
• Train on-site teams on equipment procedures and support equipment upkeep.

What you'll need

• Graduate in Electrical Engineering with 4–6 years of facilities experience.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 6–10 years of post-diploma experience.
• Understanding of engineering design and utility-system operations.
• Ability to respond to operational and emergency situations.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and support team success.
• Knowledge of EHS or HSSE guidelines and reporting procedures.

Nice to have

• Tertiary qualifications in facilities management, building management or business.
