Overview
Signal Integrity Engineer supporting next-generation high-speed technologies in a centralized SI team, delivering system-level signal integrity solutions for complex high-speed systems, boards, and packages.
What you'll do
- Deliver system-level signal integrity solutions for high-speed systems, boards, and packages.
- Own signal integrity design from design feasibility through product validation.
- Develop SI rules and build on design guides and checklists, then review design implementation.
- Create test plans and document characterization and measurement reports.
- Improve and optimize design margins using interconnect, timing, crosstalk analysis, 3D EM, and channel simulations.
- Design and characterize test structures and channel models to correlate simulations and measurements for serdes and interconnects.
- Provide technical assessments and progress updates to SI management.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electromagnetics and transmission line concepts including reflection and terminations.
- Knowledge of timing and jitter, crosstalk and noise, channel modeling and serdes equalizations, and PDN/decoupling.
- Familiarity with PCB stackup design, line geometry trade-offs, PCB materials and surface finishes, and manufacturing process.
- Experience with lab equipment including high bandwidth real-time/sampling oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzers, TDR, VNA, and spectrum analyzers.
- Proficiency with simulation and analysis tools including ADS, HFSS, HSPICE, and Cadence Allegro.
- Experience with interface standards such as DDR 3/4 and PCIe gen 2/3.
Details
- Work mode: Onsite, primarily working from an HPE office.
- Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
