Simulation/Test Engineer

Overview

Contribute to the design, development, testing, sustaining engineering, and documentation of advanced MKS products as a Test Engineer on the Bangalore Engineering team.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute test plans with engineering teams to validate performance against requirements.
• Perform functional, performance, and regression testing and reporting on existing and new products.
• Identify and track performance issues for hardware and software in the design and report defects to the engineering team.
• Stay updated with current testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Identify testing limitations in state-of-the-art vacuum measurement equipment and drive testing technology to new levels.
• Use electronic test equipment and prototype hardware for product development, validation, and troubleshooting activities.

What you'll need

• A degree in Engineering, Physics, or another related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product testing, simulation, and reporting.
• Knowledge and experience in statistical methods of data analysis.
• Experience with LabVIEW and Python programming.

Nice to have

• Database development experience.
• Experience in any of the following: 8D, DFMEA, DFx.
• Experience in electronic circuit understanding.
• Experience in vacuum technology.

• Location: Bangalore, Whitefield, India.
• Work is performed in office and engineering laboratory environments.
• Sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
• Use laboratory equipment and occasionally lift and move electronic equipment or test fixtures up to 25 pounds.
