Software Development Engineer II

Overview

Software Development Engineer II responsible for designing and building scalable backend services for authentication, subscriptions, payments, content delivery, and video intelligence systems.

What you'll do

• Build secure, scalable microservices for platform applications.
• Write maintainable code, conduct unit testing, and participate in code reviews.
• Implement data stores, index stores, and messaging systems for sub-second response times.
• Own and maintain cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate technologies and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python.
• Experience building distributed, domain-driven microservices.
• Strong database and storage fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms, messaging systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Nice to have

• AWS experience.
• Kafka experience.
• Experience with large-scale production systems focused on performance and reliability.
