Overview
Build and operate full-stack web platforms, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and application services for warehouse intelligence products. This fully remote role covers the software lifecycle from design and development through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js/NestJS.
- Design and maintain REST APIs and internal and external integrations.
- Develop PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and performance improvements.
- Build asynchronous workflows with message queues and distributed-system patterns.
- Deploy services with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems across APIs, queues, databases, and services.
- Improve security, reliability, performance, engineering processes, and system design.
What you'll need
- 2–5 years of professional experience building and operating production software.
- An engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Production experience with Python and Node.js/NestJS.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating APIs, microservices, or backend systems.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues, caching, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and secure coding fundamentals.
Nice to have
- Experience with data pipelines, data engineering, orchestration, streaming, or BI tools.
- Experience with multi-region systems, logistics, warehouse management, robotics, or physical-world technology.
- Experience with AI-assisted development or GenAI code-validation practices.
