Software Development Engineer III

Overview

Software Development Engineer III role within Expedia Group’s Ordering Services team, which powers the traveler journey from checkout through post-booking.

What you'll do

• Lead design and implementation of highly scalable product solutions with clean, maintainable code.
• Identify process and technology improvement opportunities and drive adoption.
• Support production systems by investigating issues and working toward resolutions.
• Provide alternative solutions to remove roadblocks and drive issues to closure.
• Create and update documentation to share knowledge across the team.
• Participate in group technology reviews and critique work.
• Collaborate on user story creation with product managers.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
• Experience in object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
• Experience designing REST/grpc/graphql APIs/MCP servers.
