Software Development Engineer - Mainframe Batch Support-1

Overview

Software Development Engineer role focused on supporting and monitoring Mainframe batch processes in production, including handling critical incidents and ensuring SLA adherence.

What you'll do

• Monitor batch jobs and critical streams to ensure SLA adherence.
• Fix Mainframe Batch job abends and troubleshoot late jobs and streams.
• Identify, escalate, and lead/respresent critical incident calls for production issues.
• Support critical batch abends by analyzing, fixing, and escalating as needed.
• Contribute across the development lifecycle including specification, coding, documentation, and QA.

What you'll need

• Strong knowledge/experience of CA-7 and mainframe monitoring tools including OPC/TWS/IZWS.
• Mandatory experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CA-7.
• Mandatory experience supporting a 24x7 operating model and on-call rotation.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with team collaboration under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn new programming languages as necessary.

Details

• Location: India Remote; may be based out of Hyd or BLR, with possible work from these locations for training or permanently.
• May involve periodic weekend support and flexibility to work outside standard business hours.
