Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer for the Installed Base team, maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing products. The role focuses on production troubleshooting, code-level fixes, and software stability for Portrait Mobile solutions.

What you'll do

• Analyze production issues through code-level debugging and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Service, Product Development, and technical leads on customer-reported issues.
• Develop patches, hotfixes, and minor enhancements for deployed software.
• Document fixes, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in global calls and support critical incidents.
• Assess product performance with support teams and track outcomes using established metrics.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in software development and support roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including multithreading, memory management, and performance tuning.
• Experience with code-level debugging tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, JDB, or remote debuggers.
• Familiarity with log analysis tools such as Splunk or ELK Stack.
• Experience with Git, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
