Overview
Software Engineer role in a globally distributed delivery model, partnering with onshore teams to develop and maintain high-availability, mission-critical payment systems in a SAFe environment.
What you'll do
- Participate in sprint planning and execution within an established Scrum team aligned to SAFe.
- Collaborate with onshore engineering teams to deliver features and resolve defects.
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions across a multi-technology stack.
- Provide production support for critical live systems, focusing on performance and resilience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement via engineering best practices and automation.
What you'll need
- Experience with Java-based backend development.
- Exposure to the Spring Boot framework.
- Knowledge of TDD and BDD testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber).
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SQL scripting and data handling.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, ideally within SAFe.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset, with cross-team collaboration ability.
Nice to have
- Exposure to DevOps tooling.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle).
- Knowledge of REST and messaging/event-driven frameworks or solutions.
