Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineers at Visa conduct analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end-user applications.

What you'll do

• Write, modify, and review high-quality, testable, efficient code across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Integrate systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and large-scale data processing jobs using frameworks and cloud services.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with automation focus.
• Maintain CI pipelines to run tests automatically on code commits.
• Debug issues and perform root cause analysis, using AI-driven tools where applicable.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deploying applications using containerization and orchestration tools.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree, or 1+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience developing and/or implementing web-based or mobile applications.
• Experience debugging and performing root cause analysis on software issues.
• Experience integrating systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.
• Good technical experience with Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Experience with Git/Stash, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Experience with SQL datastores like DB2/MySQL and Unix or Linux platforms.
