Software Engineer (Backend)

Overview

Design, build and support scalable backend software components and services that turn product ideas into reliable customer experiences on Motive's platform.

What you'll do

• Design and implement secure, maintainable, and scalable software components and services.
• Develop APIs and systems that support product features and integrations.
• Identify root causes, resolve technical issues, and improve system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, monitoring, debugging, and production support.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Ruby, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience building reliable, maintainable software using scalable architecture and data models.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
