Software Engineer - Backend - Behavioral Security Products

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on building and evolving scalable backend systems and ML/AI-powered components for an Identity Threat Protection platform.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and iterate on scalable backend and ML systems, APIs, frameworks, and internal tools.
• Own well-scoped features and components with guidance from senior engineers for complex cross-system work.
• Improve stability, reliability, and operational excellence of critical systems.
• Write clean, testable, resilient code with attention to edge cases and performance.
• Contribute to technical design documents, design discussions, code/design reviews, and on-call rotations.
• Help design and build LLM-powered features and agentic workflows using LLM APIs and agent frameworks.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of industry experience as a Software Engineer shipping production backend systems.
• Backend proficiency in Python for building and maintaining production systems.
• System design fundamentals for building reliable, scalable applications.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and modern data storage technologies.
• Understanding of service health, monitoring, and incident response practices.
• Comfortable writing technical documentation and contributing to design discussions.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into production applications.
• Exposure to agent frameworks/patterns such as LangChain or LangGraph and tool/function calling.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation, and observability for AI-driven features.
