Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer role on SailPoint’s Platform Engineering team, building and operating mission-critical platform services for identity policy and decisioning.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and run platform services for applications to define policies and make real-time decisions.
• Write high-performance backend code in Golang.
• Develop full-stack features using Angular on the frontend.
• Implement resilient microservices deployed on AWS.
• Optimize distributed cloud architectures for low-millisecond latency.
• Collaborate with distributed team members and partner with data scientists on AI-driven features.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven backend development experience with Golang building scalable microservices and SaaS solutions.
• Frontend experience with Angular or modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Strong automated testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end) plus debugging skills.
• Familiarity with AWS and distributed cloud data stores such as DynamoDB, Aurora, or Snowflake.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins or CloudBees.
• Ability to participate in a scheduled 24x7 on-call rotation (approximately one week in 20).
