Overview
Work as a DevOps and Cloud Engineer for web applications in Digital (IM), contributing to Scaled Agile Framework development teams and resolving daily operational issues, incidents and problems.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain automated Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Support automation testing activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of application deployment.
- Develop and implement integrated and automated DevSecOps capability for applications.
- Deploy applications on AWS/GCP platforms.
- Support operations activity linked with application availability and performance.
- Drive automation initiatives and continuous improvement throughout the environment.
- Ensure agility in delivery and foster innovation.
- Provide guidance and support to business and application delivery teams to fully leverage the benefits of cloud technology.
- Manage and secure public-facing web infrastructure.
- Work in Scaled Agile Framework development teams.
- Solve daily operational issues, incidents and problems, and participate actively in crisis calls.
- Handle a subject from demand management through testing and support.
- Challenge client needs and provide appropriate solutions.
What you'll need
- A Bachelor / Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field.
- Overall 8+ years of IT industry experience including DevOps.
- 3-6 years of DevOps experience.
- DevOps mindset: “you build it, you run it”, taking responsibility for your work, solving problems with automation, transparency, and related practices.
- Experience in hosting, integration, storage, networks, and DevOps automation engineering.
- Strong programming experience in a language such as Ruby/Python/JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Openshift, AWS ECS.
- Strong knowledge and experience configuring Jenkins CI & CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge in AWS with CDK, CloudOps, DevOps tools including Github, Jenkins, Sonarqube and Checkmarx, and Terraform modules & Cloudformation scripts.
- Experience with automated configuration management technologies such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
- Experience with logging & event management tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Greylog, etc.
- Knowledge of backup & recovery procedures and technologies, data storage and retention requirements.
- Experience working in and with Agile delivery teams / projects / programs.
- Hands-on experience with a Linux environment and shell scripting.
- Experience with any of the container technologies like Docker, podman and Singularity.
- Experience in large-scale, high-volume and high-availability critical systems in a Cloud environment such as Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Sense of detail and passion for software and technologies that solve problems.
- Curiosity and team player attitude, with a wish to evolve with your team.
- Advanced level of English.
- Ability to handle a subject from demand management through testing and support.
- Ability to challenge client needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with web application performance monitoring, APM tools, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), or Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
- German knowledge.
