Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer to build and support scalable backend systems for SaaS-based cloud security platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable backend services, platform components, and middleware using Java.
• Build reliable, maintainable APIs and cloud-native applications for large-scale SaaS environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and performance and scalability improvements.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and engineering teams on CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems issues across services, databases, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Support production activities including code reviews, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Improve system reliability, resiliency, monitoring, and operational visibility.

What you'll need

• 1–5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development for SaaS or distributed systems.
• Strong Java programming skills and understanding of OOP, data structures, concurrency, and system design fundamentals.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS (or similar).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
• Strong understanding of databases, SQL optimization, and data modeling concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience working on cloud security, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience with performance engineering and observability tools.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Basic understanding of emerging AI engineering concepts such as MCP integrations and RAG pipelines.
