Overview
Senior Software Engineer, Frontend for Coinbase Advisor, an AI advisor agent inside the Coinbase app that holds conversations about users’ portfolios, gives personalized advice, and executes trades. Own end-to-end frontend experiences for fast, clear, trustworthy agentic trading across mobile and web.
What you'll do
- Own the Coinbase Advisor frontend end to end across React Native mobile and web.
- Build real-time, streaming AI-driven advice, trade recommendations, and autonomous execution UI with sub-second responsiveness.
- Shape agent behavior through prompt engineering, evals, and conversation analysis.
- Extend Go backend services and LLM integrations when needed to support frontend experiences.
- Drive frontend architecture for streaming state, real-time market data rendering, and stateful conversational UX.
- Partner with design, engineering, and a registered investment adviser to bring features to launch within regulatory guardrails.
What you'll need
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience shipping consumer-facing products at scale.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and React.
- Demonstrated ownership of frontend architecture, including state management, API integration patterns, and performance work improving latency or reliability.
- Experience building with LLMs in production (agentic systems, tool calling, streaming responses, or conversational interfaces).
- Proven track record driving projects from zero to production with minimal oversight.
- Backend fluency in Go and familiarity with crypto, trading, or financial products.
- Utilize generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable workflow improvements.
