Software Engineer (GASP)

Overview

Software Engineer for GovTech Anti Scam Products Team, building technologies to detect, disrupt, and deter scammers at scale.

What you'll do

• Build POCs and features spanning multiple system components.
• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions across components.
• Write and review production-quality code and expand test coverage.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud deployments.
• Own observability for shipped changes (logging, metrics, SLIs/SLOs).
• Participate in incident triage and resolution, escalating complex issues.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools and review AI-generated code to the same standard.

What you'll need

• Experience with Python and JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC setups.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

Nice to have

• Run containers or serverless services.
• Build high-scale, low-latency APIs.
• Deploy scaled AI/ML solutions.
• Work with data-intensive frameworks and data warehousing (e.g., AWS Glue, Spark) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j).
• Use event-driven and streaming architectures (e.g., SQS/SNS/EventBridge; bonus Kinesis).
