Software Engineer | GO Programming, Cloud-Native, PPPOE/IPOE, Microservices, DHCPV4/DHCPV6 | 8-14 Years

Overview

Software Engineer responsible for designing, delivering, and validating carrier-grade cnBNG Control Plane features as cloud-native microservices on SMI/Kubernetes. The role focuses on subscriber management, CP-UP separation, scale, high availability, and automated quality validation.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain C/C++/Go cnBNG Control Plane microservices on SMI/Kubernetes.
• Implement PPPoE/IPoE, DHCPv4/DHCPv6, RADIUS/AAA, IPAM, policy, and QoS functionality.
• Develop CP-UP session programming, state replay, and reconciliation with Silicon One UPFs.
• Build scale, redundancy, switchover, and subscriber-session continuity capabilities.
• Develop unit, integration, system, scale, performance, resiliency, and HA tests.
• Build Python test automation and integrate it with CI/CD and regression pipelines.
• Investigate distributed issues and drive root-cause analysis across Control Plane, UPFs, and Kubernetes.

What you'll need

• 8–14 years of experience in systems, embedded, or cloud-native networking software engineering.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or related field.
• Strong C/C++ and/or Go programming on Linux, plus Python scripting.
• Experience with unit, integration, system, scale/performance testing and automation.
• Knowledge of IP networking and PPPoE, IPoE, DHCPv4/v6, RADIUS/AAA, PPP, and L2TP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, gRPC/REST, YANG, and protobuf.
• Experience with Git, debugging, CI/CD, distributed systems, HA, redundancy, and state reconciliation.

Nice to have

• Experience with BNG/CUPS, CP-UP separation, SRG redundancy, or 5G/BNG architectures.
• Experience with SMI or similar cloud-native telco platforms.
• Familiarity with Silicon One platforms, IXIA/Spirent, network-state databases, and telemetry.
