Software Engineer II - Full Stack(Java & React)

Overview

Software Engineer II (Java, Full Stack) role on the Payments and Cards team at FC Global Services India LLP (First Citizens India), focused on designing and building large-scale enterprise applications and integrations.

What you'll do

• Drive complex technical efforts (solutioning) across one or more engineering teams in Cards or Payments team.
• Own application design and technical ownership of new integrations or enhancements to existing integrations.
• Build Java Microservices and Spring Boot applications deployed on OpenShift.
• Build code and deploy/promote it into various pre-prod environments using CI/CD and DevOps.
• Troubleshoot and triage issues in production and pre-production environments.
• Keep all development (preproduction) environments operational.
• Deploy on containers and server platforms.
• Develop with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases.
• Contribute to and drive best practices in Java design patterns, SOLID principles and integration patterns.
• Fix quality issues and work closely with Quality and business partners to ensure timely resolution.
• Fix vulnerability issues reported by automated tools or Quality team members.
• Create documentation to hand off developed software to App Support teams.
• Provide deployment support to the Application-support team.

What you'll need

• 5-7 years experience building enterprise applications.
• Strong coding experience in Java Microservices and Spring Boot deployed on OpenShift.
• Strong deployment experience on containers as well as server platforms.
• Strong development experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases.
• Expert at Java design patterns, SOLID principles and integration patterns.
• Java 11.0 or later (Advanced).
• Spring/Spring Boot (Advanced).
• Database/SQL/RDBMS (Advanced).
• React/NodeJS (Intermediate).
• DevOps/CI/CD (Intermediate).
• Microservices (Advanced).
• Kubernetes/Containerization (Intermediate).
• Linux/Unix (Intermediate).
• MQ/JMS/Kafka/Messaging (Intermediate).
• Technical communication and verbal and written communication skills.
