Overview
Develop and maintain mobile applications, backend APIs and related software solutions as a Software Engineer III (Mobile Developer).
What you'll do
- Develop mobile application prototypes, new technologies and products.
- Build highly responsive and scalable mobile applications.
- Build fully functional mobile applications using clean and maintainable code.
- Build clear, testable backend RESTful/SOAP APIs with interfaces to backend databases.
- Resolve defects and ensure the accuracy, integrity, interoperability and completeness of systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
- Prepare and deliver software-related documentation.
- Provide timely updates to mobile applications.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing mobile application projects.
- Respond to users in a timely manner.
- Coordinate development efforts with fellow software engineers and ensure consistency in coding and interfacing between components and subsystems.
- Work with consultants to craft user stories, assess feasibility and build demo showcases.
- Work with consultants and senior engineers to develop test scenarios before user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers and partners for knowledge transfer.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Entry level to 5+ years of relevant working experience.
- Mandatory experience with C# and SQL; Dart if working in Flutter.
- Production experience with .NET MAUI or Flutter, and readiness to work in the other.
- Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play, including signing, provisioning and release management.
- Experience with offline data storage and sync, such as SQLite, push notifications and platform permissions.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs with ASP.NET Core/.NET 8+, including authentication, versioning, error handling and performance.
- Experience maintaining existing .NET Framework 4.x services.
- Strong relational modelling and query optimisation experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with Git-based workflows using GitHub or GitLab, including branching and pull-request review.
- Experience with Xcode and Android Studio.
- Good problem-solving, logical reasoning, planning and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and technical-writing skills.
- Strong interest in software engineering.
- Willingness to learn on the job and constantly learn new skills independently.
- Ability to work well in teams and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- CI/CD and mobile build automation experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Fastlane.
- Native Swift or Kotlin experience.
- TypeScript, HTML and CSS for web views or companion admin portals.
- Mobile performance profiling and crash/analytics tooling experience with App Center, Firebase or Sentry.
- Familiarity with native development tools Android Studio and Xcode.
- Familiarity with web application development using ASP.NET Web Forms.
- Domain knowledge in accounting, procurement, inventory management, leasing, computerized maintenance management, billing, resource booking or Enterprise Resource Planning.
