Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Platform team, focused on designing, developing, and maintaining backend APIs for products and services.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust public and internal backend APIs.
• Oversee the backend API landscape to improve performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise customization and integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
• Ensure APIs meet business and scalability requirements.

What you'll need

• Proven backend development experience using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Direct experience with GCP.
• Efficiency in prioritizing ideation and implementation based on urgency and impact.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure, or other cloud providers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes.
