Software Engineering - C++ Android Middleware

Overview

Develop and enhance C++ middleware components and Android framework services for infotainment and connected vehicle platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain Android Framework and middleware components.
• Develop system services, HAL integrations, and platform features.
• Customize and enhance Android AOSP.
• Debug system-level and performance issues.
• Integrate software with hardware, Linux, and Android services.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and system stability.
• Support feature development, production issue resolution, and software releases.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of C++ software development experience.
• Proficiency in Modern C++ including C++11/14/17.
• Experience with Android Framework, AOSP, and Android Architecture.
• Understanding of Binder IPC, HAL, JNI, and System Services.
• Knowledge of Linux development, multithreading, synchronization, and memory management.
• Experience with GDB, Logcat, Perfetto, Systrace, or similar debugging tools.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.

Nice to have

• Automotive Android, Embedded Linux, or Android Security Framework experience.
• Knowledge of infotainment, navigation, multimedia, connectivity, or vehicle communication protocols.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing frameworks.

• Work from office with in-person collaboration, five days a week.
• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
