Software Engineering Senior Manager – Electronic Trading, Java and/or C++, AI

Overview

Lead electronic trading software engineering across Java and/or C++ platforms, with responsibility for technology strategy, low-latency systems, delivery, operational resilience, and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Define technology strategy and architecture for electronic trading platforms.
• Lead managers, architects, and software engineering teams.
• Deliver capabilities for execution, market connectivity, pricing, routing, risk controls, and reporting.
• Drive modernization, scalability, observability, and automation initiatives.
• Own platform stability, monitoring, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and production events.
• Lead latency, throughput, memory, CPU, and network performance optimization.
• Partner with trading, product, operations, risk, and business stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of specialty software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Expertise in Java and/or C++ in high-performance environments.
• Deep experience with electronic trading workflows and market structure.
• Experience building and operating low-latency, high-volume systems.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, distributed systems, messaging, and performance engineering.
• Experience with Linux, container platforms, and cloud technologies.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Rates, FX, Credit, Equities, or Multi-Asset electronic trading platforms.
• Experience driving organization-wide engineering transformation and modernization.
