Overview
Senior SPARK Engineer on the Salesforce Industries Cloud team, providing deeply technical advisory on architecture and performance for complex Salesforce implementations.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture, scalability, and performance assessments for Salesforce Industries Cloud implementations.
- Review end-to-end solution architecture across configuration/customization, Apex, components, data models, integrations, APIs, async processing, and security boundaries.
- Analyze transaction paths to identify latency, throughput, concurrency, resource-consumption, reliability, and data-integrity risks.
- Evaluate solutions against Salesforce platform constraints such as governor limits and SOQL/DML patterns.
- Build workload models and review non-functional requirements to set performance budgets and acceptance criteria.
- Inspect/debug code and runtime telemetry to isolate bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Produce and track evidence-based findings, risk assessments, and prioritized remediation recommendations.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of relevant experience across software engineering, Salesforce architecture, technical consulting, and performance validation.
- Strong hands-on experience reviewing or troubleshooting solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Experience with Salesforce Industries Cloud or comparable industry-specific enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, DML, asynchronous Apex, APIs, integration patterns, data modeling, and governor limits.
- Experience analyzing and resolving performance issues using logs, traces, profiling data, query plans, and system metrics.
- Development and debugging experience in Apex and at least one general-purpose language such as Java or Python.
- Strong analytical skills and strong written/verbal communication to explain complex technical recommendations.
