Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (Technical Leader), you will architect, design, and build large-scale systems connecting network devices with Meraki products through the Meraki Dashboard. You will collaborate with firmware, backend, SRE, dashboard, support, and product teams to deliver intuitive, secure, reliable systems.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable software systems and enhance backend features.
• Collaborate with backend, SRE, dashboard, and support engineers to ensure seamless integration, maintain system reliability, enhance user interfaces, and provide comprehensive support for end-users.
• Identify and address performance issues across the system.
• Follow established coding standards and contribute insights to improve team knowledge and best practices.
• Guide junior engineers in developing the system.
• Mentor junior engineers in their careers.

What you'll need

• 11+ years of experience writing production code and tests for medium to large-scale systems.
• 11+ years of experience in full stack technologies, such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, ReactJS, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrated ability to design efficient databases and optimize query performance in a relational database like Postgres.
• Demonstrated ownership of tasks throughout the development process, from conception to implementation, by collaborating effectively with peers and cross-functional teams.
• A keen interest in understanding user needs and contributing to product development.
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively within a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as web applications.
• Experience or interest in security or networking.
• Experience with container solutions, such as Kubernetes.
