Overview

Software Engineering Technical Leader (SRE Security) responsible for setting technical direction for secure infrastructure and developer platforms.

What you'll do

• Design systems that are secure by default for infrastructure and developer platforms.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption across infrastructure and internal tooling.
• Embed security signals into SRE observability and incident response.
• Advise leadership and negotiate trade-offs between security, velocity, and reliability.
• Harden Kubernetes control planes, GitOps systems, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks.
• Own reliability and security posture for secrets management, PKI, and IAM governance.
• Lead cross-team incident response and blameless post-mortems with permanent fixes.

What you'll need

• 13+ years experience (as stated in the job header).
• Hands-on production experience operating and scaling at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with cloud security posture ownership.
• 3+ years building production automation/tooling in Python and/or Go for security use cases.
• 5+ years applying SRE practices in production including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident commander, and post-mortems.
• 5+ years applying security fundamentals including threat modeling, least privilege/workload identity, and vulnerability management.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Kubernetes security experience including RBAC, NetworkPolicies, Pod Security Standards, admission controllers, and control-plane hardening.
• Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and policy-as-code tools (OPA, Kyverno, Checkov, tfsec) plus GitOps delivery (ArgoCD or Flux) and CI/CD security gates.
• Experience integrating security observability/runtime detection tooling (e.g., Falco, eBPF, SIEM, CSPM/CNAPP) with Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry.
• Experience securing AI/ML workloads and MLOps pipelines, including training/inference security and security automation with human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty) and strong communication/influence.
