Software Sales Executive

Overview

Software Sales Executive role (Account Executive) responsible for selling SailPoint’s Identity Security solution and owning the sales cycle to deliver revenue quota results.

What you'll do

• Exceed revenue quota goals on a quarterly and yearly basis.
• Qualify opportunities via first engagements and discovery calls.
• Present and position SailPoint solutions and compare value to Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt.
• Own end-to-end sales cycle activities including qualifying, presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing.
• Lead technical resources for customer demonstrations of SailPoint advantages.
• Develop business plans for the assigned territory and pursue all supplied leads while keeping internal systems updated.
• Coordinate a virtual partner and internal team to deliver sales wins without operating independently.

What you'll need

• Skilled communicator for first engagements and discovery calls.
• Ability to analyze prospects’ needs to qualify opportunities.
• Proficiency in understanding and presenting the value of SailPoint solutions.
• Experience managing and navigating discussions across customer organization levels.
• Ability to create and execute territory and opportunity plans from discovery to next steps.
• Use channel management and reporting tools for accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene.
• Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree (IT, business, or sales related field) or global equivalent.

Details

• Business travel of approximately 50% yearly is expected.
