Software System Designer for ESC control unit of Pneumatic Braking

Overview

Software System Designer for the ESC control unit in pneumatic braking for commercial vehicles. You will design, develop, and validate braking control system functions and related ECU software.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and validate braking control algorithms for brake ECUs using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Develop and maintain ABS, EBS, ESC, TCS, HSA, RSC, and brake blending system functions.
• Perform requirements engineering, feature allocation, and traceability across system and software domains.
• Analyze vehicle dynamics, braking performance, diagnostics, fault reactions, and fail-safe/fail-operational strategies.
• Support system validation including HIL/SIL/MIL testing, vehicle testing, and issue resolution.
• Apply AI/ML-based solutions for predictive braking, anomaly detection, driver behavior analysis, and advanced diagnostics.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of experience in automotive system engineering.
• Hands-on software development experience for commercial vehicle pneumatic braking systems and Brake ECU functions.
• Experience configuring sensors, actuators, wheel speed sensing, and vehicle dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) including safety analysis and fault handling.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, and UDS.
• Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink, model-based development, and auto-code generation workflows.
