Overview

Engineer - Control Software for GE Vernova’s FACTS Solution Line, focused on STATCOM/FACTS control development and real-time validation.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement control algorithms for STATCOM and FACTS applications.
• Perform power system studies and dynamic simulations using PSCAD and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Develop, validate, and optimize control functions for voltage, reactive power, current control, and fault ride-through.
• Build and maintain RMS and EMT simulation models for control design and validation.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests, site commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical documentation including simulation reports, control philosophy, and software release documents.

What you'll need

• Strong hands-on experience in PSCAD, PSSE, MATLAB/Simulink, and RTDS for power system modelling.
• At least 4–8 years of relevant experience in substation/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, preferably in Power Systems.
• Strong prioritizing and time management skills, including managing multiple project priorities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Effective communication with global teams and ability to work in an international environment.
