Software Tooling Support Engineer

Overview

Software Tooling Support Engineer responsible for operational excellence and continuous improvement across the software engineering tooling ecosystem used by R&D teams.

What you'll do

• Specialize in assigned software engineering tools and ensure supported platforms remain reliable, efficient, and aligned with engineering needs.
• Lead resolution of complex incidents and platform-related functional issues, coordinating troubleshooting across multiple teams and suppliers.
• Review and implement complex configuration changes, enhancements, upgrades, migrations, modernization, and lifecycle improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to improve platform performance, usability, and engineering productivity.
• Act as a key contact for engineering teams, collaborating to resolve operational challenges and improve service quality.
• Maintain operational standards, documentation, and knowledge assets; facilitate knowledge sharing and support onboarding/coaching.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in software tooling support, application management, or software engineering environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD environments.
• Proven experience driving application improvements, automation initiatives, or platform optimization activities.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale software engineering tooling and platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
