Overview

Software Engineer on the Priceless Engineering Team, developing critical projects and building complex, scalable platforms and services.

What you'll do

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Lead by example, conducting code reviews, pair programming, and cultivating a culture that values craftsmanship.
• Collaborate across disciplines, including product, design, and operations.
• Champion modern engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and DevOps.
• Encourage a mindset of continuous learning and iteration.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into clear action plans and progress updates.
• Uphold rigorous quality standards and proactively identify and address technical debt, system bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., PHP, Java, C#, Python, Go, TypeScript).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and building scalable, resilient systems.
• Expertise in agile methodologies and product-driven development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments, fintech, or e-commerce industry.
• Track record of delivering customer-facing products and systems at scale.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
• Advanced knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and reactive systems.
