Overview
Solution Architect for Code and Theory’s Adobe practice, leading end-to-end solution architecture and delivery execution for enterprise AEM and headless experiences.
What you'll do
- Own the solution blueprint end to end, including current-state assessment, target architecture, integration design, and sequencing roadmap.
- Run architecture reviews and technical governance for scalable, secure, enterprise-grade implementations.
- Conduct technical discovery and requirements workshops, translating business problems into AEM-based architectures.
- Own delivery accountability across sprint planning, release management, dependency tracking, risk identification, and escalation.
- Define and defend delivery estimates, manage scope changes, and report status, risks, and trade-offs to client stakeholders.
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team and stay hands-on with complex technical work and unblocking.
What you'll need
- 12–15 years of total IT experience.
- 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role spanning architecture and delivery (Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Engineering Manager) with prior Lead/Senior Engineer experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager engineering experience, including AEM Sites and Assets and recent AEM as a Cloud Service experience.
- Strong hands-on Java and AEM core development (Apache Sling, Sling Models, OSGi bundles/services, HTL/Sightly, JCR, workflows, schedulers, event handlers).
- Hands-on experience delivering AEM in a client-services/agency/consulting context including scoping and estimation.
- Mandatory AI-enabled engineering leadership with hands-on experience using AI engineering tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent) and agent/workflow automation.
- Proven experience leading at least one large-scale CMS migration or AEMaaCS modernization end to end.
