Overview

The Android Reverse Engineer analyzes Android applications and SDKs to identify security risks, malicious behavior, and data exposure.

What you'll do

• Analyze Android applications and SDKs, including their code, architecture, and functionality.
• Apply decompilation, disassembly, and debugging techniques to reverse engineer codebases.
• Identify user and device risks, data leakage, and malicious code execution.
• Research and report intelligence on Android malware, exploits, and emerging security trends.
• Collaborate with researchers, developers, and stakeholders to share findings and recommendations.

What you'll need

• 3–5+ years of experience in Android development, reverse engineering, pentesting, application security assessments, or CTF.
• Hands-on experience analyzing and unpacking malicious applications or SDKs.
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis techniques.
• Experience with Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, or Burp for binary and APK analysis.
• Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, or other mobile software languages.
• Experience reverse engineering ELF native binaries and developing SQL or Yara signatures.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Android fundamentals, malicious application techniques, app store policies, and network traffic analysis.
• Knowledge of threat research, encoding and cryptography, authentication, device rooting, frameworks, and application packers.
