Solution Engineer

Overview

Solution Engineer responsible for helping customers solve complex problems and supporting large-deal sales cycles. The role partners with sales teams and channel partners across demonstrations, enterprise Proofs of Concept, design, implementation, and business close.

What you'll do

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors.
• Demonstrate and communicate technology value throughout the sales cycle.
• Support customer Proofs of Concept, design, and implementation.
• Understand customer needs and strategize winning sales cycles.
• Research competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing.

What you'll need

• 7–8 years of industry experience.
• At least 5 years of pre-sales experience.
• Experience with large-scale databases or data warehouses, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions.
• Ability to analyze customer architecture and connect it with Snowflake data architecture.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.

Nice to have

• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Data Science or Business Administration.
• Experience with GSIs such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.

Details

• Based in or near Dallas, Texas.
• Approximately 30% travel.
