Solutions Architect

Overview

As a Solutions Architect at Plane Software, you own the technical architecture for enterprise and regulated-industry deployments across discovery and contract sign-off.

What you'll do

• Own the technical architecture for enterprise and regulated-industry deployments from discovery through a signed statement of work.
• Design self-hosted and air-gapped Plane deployments to satisfy customer security review requirements.
• Run technical discovery with customers’ infrastructure and compliance teams.
• Define migration paths when customers move off multiple existing tools, including what data does not survive.
• Work with sales on live deals and with engineering when requirements expose gaps, converting gaps into scoped requests.
• Answer security questionnaires for regulated buyers as part of procurement processes.

What you'll need

• Have designed and defended technical architecture to skeptical buyers, including explaining how design changed after customer discussions.
• Understand self-hosted and on-premises deployment beyond docker-compose, including networking, SSO, and identity federation.
• Translate security questionnaires or compliance requirements into concrete deployment decisions.
• Be comfortable serving as the technical voice on sales calls, including saying no or not yet.
• Write technical documentation that customer engineers can follow independently.
