Solutions Engineer, Okta

Overview

Solutions Engineer in Okta’s Global Innovation Center SE team (Presales), focused on identity and security solutions for commercial customer segments.

What you'll do

• Support customers through the sales journey using live demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Demonstrate Okta Workforce Identity solutions and model fit to customers’ architecture requirements and use cases.
• Execute well-defined, outcome-focused POCs.
• Maintain broad and deep technical understanding of Okta’s product line and underlying technologies/protocols.
• Occasionally participate in local and regional events as a presenter and attendee.
• Work with customer stakeholders including IT managers, developers, product managers, and sometimes senior executives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in IAM or a related SaaS field as a pre-sales engineer.
• Hands-on IAM, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, passwordless authentication, universal directory, privileged access, and device access experience is preferred.
• Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas using white-boarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations.
• Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, customer support, or pre-sales.
• Ability to work in the EST Time Zone.
