Overview
Manage supplier relationships and procurement activities for complex Drilling Services Manufacturing, high-value products and services. Serve as the primary procurement contact for assigned direct-material suppliers and support timely material availability, supplier performance, cost, quality, delivery and procurement efficiency.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities and purchase order execution for assigned suppliers, products and services.
- Drive supplier on-time delivery and ensure materials and services are available to meet production and business requirements.
- Build supplier relationships and serve as the primary contact for procurement, order, delivery and commercial matters.
- Monitor supplier performance against delivery, quality, cost, responsiveness and contractual requirements, and implement improvement or recovery plans.
- Identify and resolve supply chain constraints, shortages, delays and supplier risks; escalate critical issues and coordinate mitigation actions.
- Collaborate with planning, engineering, quality, operations, finance and supply-chain teams to support order execution and business priorities.
- Support negotiations related to pricing, lead times, payment conditions, delivery terms and other commercial requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes sourcing policies, procurement procedures, approved contractual terms and applicable governance requirements.
- Analyze procurement data, supplier performance, spending and market trends to identify cost-saving, risk-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
- Manage multiple suppliers, purchase orders and competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Keep stakeholders informed of supplier performance, delivery risks, delays, recovery actions and expected completion dates.
- Lead and support continuous-improvement initiatives across buying, procurement, supplier management, order execution and reporting processes.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, supplier management or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers of complex, high-value and long-lead-time products or materials.
- Strong supplier relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across internal and external teams.
- Experience coordinating multiple suppliers, purchase orders and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to improve supplier delivery, quality, cost and responsiveness.
- Strong analytical capability and proficiency in procurement and ERP systems such as SAP, or equivalent platforms.
- Commercial acumen, including knowledge of pricing, lead times, contractual terms, supplier risk and cost-saving methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present risks, priorities and recommendations clearly.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across planning, engineering, quality, operations, finance and supply chain teams.
- Demonstrated continuous-improvement mindset, attention to detail, accountability and the ability to perform effectively under changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, reporting tools and data analysis for planning, inventory and performance management.
- Willingness and ability to travel to supplier locations as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
