Overview
Specialist decision intelligence/platform engineering role focused on reliable, secure, high-performance applications and platforms, with modernization and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Understand system operations, scalability, interactions, and failures to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Create tools and automation using software engineering and solution architecture best practices to reduce manual work.
- Define reliability metrics to track and improve system/service reliability.
- Lead sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Coordinate platform engineering activities including automation, upgrades/patch coordination, administration guidance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Write technical documentation such as configuration artifacts and infrastructure/technical diagrams.
What you'll need
- Primary skills include Power BI, Spotfire, ThoughtSpot, AWS, Git, and Python.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another Technology stream.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Windows/Linux, programming, and cloud security frameworks.
- Engineering experience with decision intelligence platforms such as PowerBI or other conversational BI.
- Strong operations engineering knowledge including error budgets, SLOs, and SLAs.
- DevOps experience with Git, infrastructure as code (IaC), observability, and CI/CD.
- Scripting/automation skills including Bash or PowerShell.
