Specialist 3 – IAM Engineer, Strategy& Governance, Advisory

Overview

Senior IAM Engineer leader responsible for end-to-end Identity & Access Management (IAM) operations, including secure identity services, platform stability, automation, and audit/compliance execution across MUFG.

What you'll do

• Own and run end-to-end IAM operations for reliable, secure, and scalable identity services.
• Lead IAM service delivery, automation, and self-service for access requests and fulfillment workflows.
• Run ITSM-aligned operations including incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge management with escalation and on-call readiness.
• Oversee operational stability and administration for IAM platforms and dependencies (e.g., SSO/MFA, directories, IGA, HR source-of-truth, APIs/connectors).
• Lead audit and compliance execution for access controls, including evidence collection and recertification operations.
• Implement an automation-first operating model and reduce ticket volume and repeat incidents via root-cause prevention.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and partner with SecOps as needed (SIEM/logging/anomaly detection).

What you'll need

• Experience of 8-12 years in IAM, security operations, or identity platform operations, with 5+ years leading teams and service delivery.
• Proven ability operating IAM services at enterprise scale (large user populations, many applications, multi-region environments).
• Strong ITSM and operational management experience (incident/problem/change/request, SLAs/SLOs, metrics, service health reporting).
• Experience managing third-party SI partners and/or managed services with measurable outcomes.
• Experience delivering automation and self-service using workflows, APIs, and orchestration.
• Experience supporting audits/compliance for access controls (SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI or similar) including evidence and remediation.
• Ability to balance reliability, security, and user experience, with strong stakeholder communication and executive updates.
