Staff+ Software Engineer, Enterprise to anchor Anthropic’s Enterprise pillar and help make Claude enterprise-ready at scale.

What you'll do

• Define and drive multi-year technical strategy, including distributability and multi-cloud.
• Personally lead highest-complexity, highest-impact initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Serve as a primary technical decision-maker for major org-wide architectural decisions.
• Partner with teams across Inference, Platform, Customer Success, Infrastructure, and Safeguards.
• Mentor and develop Staff-level engineers across the org.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and proactively identify systemic technical risks.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of engineering experience operating at Staff/Senior Staff level.
• Experience shaping technical strategy for large-scale Cloud Service Provider or Enterprise SaaS.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture.
• Ability to write design docs, make architectural calls, and code in critical paths.
• Effectiveness across org boundaries with strong stakeholder trust.
• Domain expertise in enterprise areas such as security, identity, compliance, governance, permissions, and connectivity.

Details

• Hybrid policy: staff expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time.
• Visa sponsorship is available in some cases; every reasonable effort is made if offered.
• Annual comp range: $405,000–$485,000 USD.
