Staff+ Software Engineer, Developer Acceleration

Overview

Staff+ Software Engineer for Anthropic’s Developer Acceleration team, responsible for infrastructure enabling agentic developer productivity.

What you'll do

• Define the future of agentic productivity at scale.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area.
• Define and uphold quality standards for agent-driven engineering work.
• Build and ship the agent runtime platform and related tooling.
• Build agent harnesses and experiment with context management strategies.
• Write evaluations to benchmark agent behaviors.
• Drive scalability, reliability, and operational excellence for the infrastructure.

What you'll need

• 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• 3+ years leading large scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead.
• Experience with agents, including agents doing technical/knowledge work.
• Experience building scalable platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to support internal partners.

Details

• Location-based hybrid policy: staff are expected in an office at least 25% of the time.
