Specialist - Accounting Operations

Overview

Work within the Finance function's accounting operations team, collaborating closely with onshore teams and other finance teams on month-end and quarter-end processes.

What you'll do

• Ensure achievement of agreed SLAs for the accounting operations team.
• Identify automation opportunities proactively within the process.
• Maintain and update documentation to comply with ISO standards.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end People Cost processes.
• Clear open items, coordinating with controllers and other functional teams, and adhere to timelines.
• Manage monthly accruals.
• Manage review of all balance sheet reconciliations and meet global deadlines.
• Manage audit requirements.

What you'll need

• Commerce graduate with 4+ years of work experience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to deal with multiple formats of data and large volumes of data.
• Good communication skills.
• Must have worked on Oracle/ERP.
• Must be keen to learn.

Nice to have

• Positive attitude and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize time effectively.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (knowledge of macros preferable).
• Good accounting knowledge.

• Location: Pune - Panchshil (source also references Mumbai).
• Applicants should be flexible working in shifts if needed.
• Hybrid work: at least three days per week in the local office or working onsite with clients.
