Overview

The Specialist Analytics Developer is an experienced delivery role within the Analytics Centre of Excellence, responsible for building and owning complex analytics solutions that deploy real estate insights into the business and clients. The role covers the analytics lifecycle from wireframe and solution design through build, QA, publishing and documentation, while providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing to Analytics Developers.

What you'll do

  • Develop wireframes for proposed analytics solutions and contribute to solution design by advising on technical feasibility, data availability and best-practice design patterns.
  • Build complex analytics solutions iteratively within agile sprints using Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, Python and SQL.
  • Conduct code reviews and data validation as part of the QA process.
  • Lead visualisation review and data validation to confirm outputs are accurate, consistent and aligned to requirements.
  • Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing and incorporate client feedback.
  • Publish completed analytics solutions to the Azara production environment.
  • Produce documentation covering architecture, data sources, maintenance guidance and user instructions.
  • Consult on and contribute to usage and RoI tracking for delivered solutions, supporting Azara AI self-service enablement.
  • Translate complex business requirements into practical analytics solutions and act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team.
  • Share knowledge with Analytics Developers and contribute to the team's continuous development.
  • Participate in internal and external analytics communities to evolve skills and bring best practice into the Centre of Excellence.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for analytics-related processes and solutions.
  • Lead the technical development of complex Business Intelligence initiatives.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Facilitate continuous growth in skills and knowledge across the BI Centre of Excellence.
  • Partner with account and platform solutions and insights delivery teams to align work with customer requirements and deliver quantifiable business benefit.

What you'll need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a BI, data or analytics developer/analyst.
  • Proven track record of delivering analytics solutions in Tableau and/or Power BI to production standard.
  • Working experience with SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Working experience with Python and/or Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into analytics solutions.
  • Degree in data, analytics, or a related field preferable, or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience of tactical delivery within a BI team.
  • Strong domain knowledge and an understanding of how to translate analytics into business decisions.
  • Experience integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and data models.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire individuals outside of direct reporting lines, with strong team and networking skills.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects, stakeholders and team members concurrently and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Experience of agile methodology, or equivalent approaches to managing workloads across teams and customers.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to think out of the box and brainstorm new approaches to problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong technical skills in Data Visualisation, including Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Strong technical skills in Data Transformation, including Databricks, SQL and Python.
  • Strong technical skills in Program Management using Microsoft DevOps.
  • Strong technical skills in automation flows using Power Automate.
  • Ability to share information across business functions and disciplines, manage stakeholders with diverse interests and make actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop solutions focused on successfully extracting insight from data.
  • Ability to act upon a framework for business analytics and embed it across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver work plans and priorities in line with agile methodology.
  • Ability to explain analytic process concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
  • Demonstrated line and team management and a proven track record delivering effective analytics solutions.
