Specialist, Center of Excellence Revenue Accounting

Overview

Specialist role in the Centre of Excellence Accounting team focused on revenue accounting, including accruals, AR, deferred revenue, and reconciliations.

What you'll do

• Perform revenue accruals, accounts receivable (AR) and deferred revenue postings and reconciliations.
• Maintain revenue accrual models and support order-to-cash (OTC) reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Prepare month-end close entries and accrual journal entries based on US GAAP standards and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with complex revenue accrual calculations by using data from multiple sub-systems.
• Review and analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Support ad hoc reporting, audit requests, and ensure adherence to SOX policies and procedures for AR and revenue accounting.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of revenue accounting experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
• Experience with Oracle and willingness to learn data management tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and formulas.
• Ability to work with large data sets and accurately interpret and analyze data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana.
• Working hours: 2pm-11pm IST.
• Office days: 3x a week, and 5 days during month-end close activities.
