Overview
The FP&A Analyst / Senior Analyst will support management reporting, financial performance analysis, budgeting and forecasting cycles, planning data consolidation, and ad-hoc analytical requirements. The role requires strong financial acumen, analytical capability, attention to data integrity, and accurate delivery within demanding reporting and planning timelines.
What you'll do
- Prepare and distribute standardized management reports using actual, budget, forecast and prior-period financial data.
- Extract financial and operational data from approved source systems and validate completeness, mappings, reporting periods and totals against source records.
- Populate and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other approved reporting templates; perform formatting, presentation and quality checks before review and distribution.
- Perform actual versus budget, actual versus forecast, prior-period, prior-year and forecast-versus-forecast variance analysis.
- Identify material and unusual movements and analyze key drivers including volume, price/rate, timing, headcount, compensation, FX, project timing, regulatory impacts and one-time items.
- Coordinate with Controllers, Business Finance and other stakeholders to obtain and validate explanations for significant variances and unresolved movements.
- Prepare first-draft management commentary based on validated financial results and business explanations; validate all statements generated by approved AI tools before inclusion in reporting.
- Update budget and forecast models using approved assumptions; refresh formulas and linked data, validate model integrity, perform reasonableness checks and maintain version control.
- Support annual budget, periodic forecast and other planning cycles by distributing templates, tracking submissions, validating business-unit inputs and consolidating planning data.
- Perform consolidation checks including entity/account mapping, currency consistency, duplicate submissions, intercompany considerations, headcount, Capex and total-to-source reconciliations.
- Provide ad-hoc data extraction and analysis for Controllers and FP&A stakeholders including account trends, cost-center analysis, Opex, Capex, headcount and business-unit performance.
- Prepare supporting schedules, management presentations, tables and charts in accordance with approved reporting standards.
- Maintain reporting calendars, workpapers, planning versions, submission trackers and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Support period-end reporting and ensure outputs are delivered within agreed timelines and meet first-time-right quality expectations.
- Follow applicable internal controls, access requirements, data confidentiality standards and review/approval procedures; support audit and control requests where applicable.
