Overview
Specialist - Forecasting Oncology for US Oncology, developing transparent demand forecast models to guide strategy and prioritization.
What you'll do
- Own short-, mid-, and long-term forecast models for strategic brands and therapy areas.
- Build and maintain product-specific patient flow–based short-term and long-term models.
- Align forecast assumptions with Marketing, Sales, Market Access and Pricing, Finance, and Sales Operations.
- Present and defend forecast methodologies, assumptions, and outputs to senior leadership.
- Run scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to quantify uncertainties and shape contingency plans.
- Use multiple data sources and tools to integrate inputs and maintain model currency.
- Participate in monthly S&OP, submit volumes, and build weekly/monthly/yearly models and conversions.
What you'll need
- 10 to 15 years of direct pharmaceutical forecasting experience.
- In-depth knowledge of forecasting techniques, models, and approaches.
- Strong understanding of Oncology patient diagnosis and treatment pathway dynamics.
- Experience integrating market research and secondary data into forecast assumptions.
- Experience applying pharmaceutical industry data sources and analytics (e.g., IQVIA, claims data, epidemiological data).
- For US forecasting, experience with TRx / NBRx / NRx data and methodologies.
- Excellent Excel, financial modeling, and forecasting skills.
