Overview

Specialist in the Business Intelligence Group (BIG) Asia Strategic Research team, within the India Knowledge Services function of Marsh (India) Private Limited, supporting regional sales and client engagement with research and insights for sales enablement projects and live client pitches.

What you'll do

• Prepare client dialogue decks covering business overview, financial analysis, strategic priorities and risk assessment to support initial discussions with clients and prospects.
• Identify prospect companies by industry, location, business type and other criteria.
• Produce industry assessments covering addressable market size, industry trends, challenges, outlook, external drivers, and key existing and emerging risks.
• Conduct competitor analysis covering clients, prospects and competitors' strategic objectives and key investments or activities, and how these connect to potential opportunities.
• Deliver insurance market analysis providing a detailed view of a specific market and product line.
• Independently deliver high-impact research engagements commissioned by regional leaders, strategy and sales communities.
• Maintain high attention to detail in research and end products, producing insightful, synthesized, well-written outputs and reports.
• Maintain regular project manager interaction on delivery status, expectations, process changes and new opportunities.
• Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders through quality delivery, responsiveness and clear communication.
• Contribute to team process improvement through recommendations and execution of initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, or MBA, or equivalent post-graduation certification from a reputed institute.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in strategy advisory or research (quantitative and qualitative | secondary) at a leading professional services or consulting firm, market intelligence or research firm.
• Strong commitment to absorbing and engaging with feedback and enhancing own knowledge and quality of end products.
• Proven ability to present project updates to stakeholders, with strong project management expertise.
• Exposure in building frameworks, drawing data-driven insights and performing analysis aligned to the 'Sales Strategy', focusing on clients/prospects, markets, competitors, products and regulatory developments.
• Good understanding of financial concepts, global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, and key business and financial risks.
• Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (PESTEL, Porter's 5 forces, BCG Matrix, SWOT, etc.) and their applications in bringing out innovative insights.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, storyboarding and report writing skills, and excellent verbal, writing and listening communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Extensive exposure to commercial databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Factiva, Global Data, A.M. Best Insurance Service, etc.

Nice to have

• Exposure to working in a global setting.
• Experience in risk consulting or insurance/reinsurance related research or advisory support in related verticals.
• Knowledge or exposure of global insurance markets, risk advisory, enterprise risk management or risk consulting.

• Location: Mumbai - Hiranandani.
• Hybrid work: colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week, with one anchor day per week for office-based teams.
