Specialist Software Engineer, CX

Overview

Specialist Software Engineer, CX, building and implementing complex data and AI-enabled services using frontend and backend technologies.

What you'll do

• Participate in product development from ideation through deployment.
• Maintain quality and optimize new and existing systems for responsiveness.
• Develop AI-enabled services and workflows, including self-serve tooling for creating and improving AI assistants.
• Collaborate to design and build new features on time and to budget.
• Maintain code integrity and organization.
• Support understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Coordinate build and release activities with key stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of software development experience (Senior Software Engineer).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) across the full lifecycle.
• Experience in Scala or Python.
• Experience with AWS technologies (e.g., EKS, EMR, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong experience in SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD, git, and GitHub Actions (including Jenkins-based pipeline deployments).

Nice to have

• Built meaningful Big Data infrastructure for cost efficiency & governance and/or bonus open-sourced technologies like Spark, Iceberg, and Airflow.
• Experience in Kafka and Kubernetes operators.
• Experience with databases like Snowflake.
