Overview

Specialty Software Engineering Manager for Platform Engineering at Wells Fargo, leading and developing an engineering team and building platform capabilities using modern technologies.

What you'll do

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of specialty-domain engineers.
• Ensure adherence to Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements with each release.
• Engage architects to incorporate technology strategies and support application migration to target architecture.
• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks across code, build, and deployment while managing the software development cycle and security standards.
• Act as a technical escalation partner for scrum teams and help remove impediments.
• Conduct peer reviews and guide design to evaluate quality and alignment to technical direction.
• Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to influence requirements and priorities for the product roadmap.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Expertise in Python, Django, OOP, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven Compute Optimization and FinOps experience.
• Platform Engineering experience building self-service developer platforms, reusable services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, HDFS, PySpark, and distributed computing.
