SQL Database Developer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server database solutions, while optimizing performance and reliability.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries to support application requirements.
- Monitor and optimize database performance via query tuning, indexing, and resource management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Translate business requirements with stakeholders into technical database solutions.
- Provide technical support for database-related issues and help maintain high availability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including design, development, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Strong understanding of database indexing, partitioning, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of data modeling and normalization principles.
- Experience with tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Azure Data Studio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
